Sharetribe alternatives: marketplace software compared
Sharetribe alternatives compared: Marketplace Factory, Kreezalid, Traide, CS-Cart, Dokan and Bubble, with dated prices and the right tool for each project.

Contents
Choosing marketplace software is a choice for several years: it decides what your sellers can do, what you pay as activity grows, and how easily you can leave. Sharetribe is one of the most cited names in the category, and people looking for Sharetribe alternatives find everything from a WordPress plugin at a few hundred dollars a year to AI app builders, and to Marketplace Factory, which creates the complete marketplace for your trade from a single sentence. This comparison puts them side by side, with dated prices.
How we compared
- Date and sources. All pricing pages were read on 27 September 2026. We did not open any paid account: the features cited are those vendors describe publicly.
- Prices. Excluding VAT or sales tax unless stated. Dollar prices are converted at the ECB reference rate of 25 September 2026 (€1 = $1.1403). We always say whether a price is billed monthly or yearly.
- Criteria. Price to go live; own domain; payments between buyers and sellers; what the vendor takes from sales; access to code or an API; the trial.
- Fairness rule. Among the conditions EU law sets for comparative advertising: objectively comparing features that are “material, relevant, verifiable and representative” (Directive 2006/114/EC, Article 4). That is the rule we hold ourselves to here.
The table
| Software | Online from | Your own domain | Payments between buyers and sellers | Taken from sales by the vendor | Code or API | Trial |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marketplace Factory | €79 a month + 2% of online sales, online payments included | from Pro: €199 | from Launch, on your own Stripe account | 2%, 1.5% or 1% of sales paid online | connecting your software coming soon; code sold separately | free studio: one idea with no account, then a free account, no card |
| Sharetribe | $99 a month, billed yearly | from Pro: $199 a month, billed yearly | Stripe, included | nothing, but at most $0.19 per transaction beyond 50 to 500 a month | code and API in production with Extend | 14 days, no card |
| Kreezalid | €99 a month (table), more on the cards | from entry | Stripe Connect; Mangopay on Advanced | nothing | API from Starter | 7 days, no card |
| Traide, Canada and US | $79 a month, $59 billed yearly | from entry | Stripe, among listed integrations | 1%, 0.6% or 0.5% | API from Business, storefront code on Professional | 14 days, no card |
| CS-Cart Multi-Vendor | $725 a year, hosting extra | yours | commissions and payouts advertised | licence | full code | 14-day demo |
| Yo!Kart | $1,999 once | yours | depends on gateways connected | no transaction fees | site code, framework excluded | 30-day refund, with deductions |
| Dokan (WordPress) | $149 a year, hosting extra | yours | Stripe Express and Mangopay from Professional | licence | WordPress plugin | free core |
| Bubble | $59 a month billed yearly (web and mobile) | from Starter | to assemble | no percentage shown | the app lives on Bubble | free to build |
| Lovable | paid plan, price not readable on the page | from Pro | one merchant per project | no percentage shown; Paddle takes 5% + $0.50 if chosen | the code is yours | free to try |
The real cost at your volume
The entry price says nothing about what you will pay once the marketplace is running. Here is the monthly software cost at two volumes, with a €50 average order, excluding payment fees; your own domain is included everywhere except on Marketplace Factory Launch, and Sharetribe shows yearly billing only:
| Monthly activity | Marketplace Factory, Launch | Marketplace Factory, Pro | Kreezalid, Scale | Sharetribe, Pro |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 transactions, €5,000 in sales | €79 + €100 = €179 | €199 + €75 = €274 | €199 or €299 depending on grid | $199, about €175 |
| 200 transactions, €10,000 in sales | €79 + €200 = €279 | €199 + €150 = €349 | €199 or €299 | $199, about €175 |
On top, for everyone, come Stripe’s fees: about €159 and €293 a month in these two cases from a euro-area account, if all cards are standard European ones; from a US account, the €10,000 case comes to about $461. The assumptions are detailed in the cost to build a marketplace.
At Marketplace Factory, the share applies only to sales paid online: while you sell little, you pay little, and nothing is due on requests or on what is settled offline. The rate falls with the plan: 2% on Launch, 1.5% on Pro, 1% on Dedicated, renegotiable for large volumes. And the subscription covers more than software to configure: finished proposals from one sentence, the complete marketplace for your trade (public site, buyer account, seller space, back office), online payments from the Launch plan, and not a line of code.
What the tables do not say
- Language. Sharetribe thinks in English first, Kreezalid in French. Marketplace Factory understands your sentence in English, and more languages are coming soon. The language of support matters as much as the interface.
- Data. Ask where it is hosted and how to get it back. Ours is hosted in the European Union, and export is included on every plan.
- The payment account. With most of these vendors, payments go through Stripe. Check that the platform account is in your name: it is the one that holds your sellers.
Sharetribe
For whom: founders who want to configure a generic platform themselves, English-first, with a door open to code.
Strengths. Sharetribe says it serves more than 1,000 marketplace founders from over 70 countries. Its features cover bookings by the hour, day or night, sales with stock, simple inquiries and negotiation; two-sided reviews published blind; an operator console with CSV export; Stripe payments in 26 countries, commission and payouts included. The 14-day trial needs no card. Its pricing changelog is public.
Limits. Prices are in dollars, excluding VAT, and the page now shows yearly-billed prices only: $99 a month for Lite, $199 for Pro, $299 for Extend. Your own domain only comes with Pro. The Build plan, at $39, does not go live. Beyond 50, 250 or 500 transactions a month depending on the plan, each initiated transaction costs at most $0.19, falling to $0.05 with volume. The mobile app is a wrapper around the website, unless you build a custom one.
Kreezalid
For whom: French-speaking projects, goods or services, that want to configure a generic platform themselves.
Strengths. “Kreezalid doesn’t take any fee from transactions”, the vendor writes on its pricing page. In that page’s comparison table, your own domain and Stripe Connect are included from the Basic plan; the theme editor (Liquid and HTML) and the API from Starter; Mangopay on Advanced. Hosting, maintenance and updates are included. The 7-day trial needs no card.
Limits. The page shows two grids that do not match: on the cards, Scale costs €299 and Advanced €379 a month, Starter more than in the table; in the table, Basic costs €99, Starter €129, Scale €199 and Advanced €299 a month, or €89 to €269 a month billed yearly. Ask which applies before committing. Entry plans cap accounts: 100 users and 100 listings on Basic, then €49 per block of 1,000. Kreezalid itself estimates payment gateway fees at around 3% to 4%.
Traide
For whom: marketplaces based in Canada or the United States that accept a percentage of sales in exchange for a moderate entry subscription.
Strengths. Traide puts a marketplace online from its Growth plan, at $79 a month or $59 a month billed yearly, with your own domain. The percentage falls as the subscription rises: 1% of sales on Growth, 0.6% on Business ($499 a month, $375 billed yearly), 0.5% on Professional ($2,000 a month), which also gives access to the storefront code. Stripe is among its listed integrations. The 14-day trial needs no card.
Limits. The offer is limited to Canada and the United States, in dollars.
CS-Cart and Yo!Kart
For whom: teams with a developer who want the code, self-hosted.
Strengths. CS-Cart Multi-Vendor is licensed from $725 a year (Standard) to $3,599 a year (Ultimate), or bought for life from $3,590; the vendor advertises vendor management, commissions and payouts “out of the box”, and also offers pre-configured hosting. Yo!Kart sells its GoQuick package for $1,999 once: lifetime licence, free installation, twelve months of support, no recurring charges or transaction fees.
Limits. Hosting, updates, security and new features are on you, or your contractor. These are first and foremost multi-vendor e-commerce products. At Yo!Kart, the framework code is not provided, mobile apps are sold separately ($3,999 for the package that includes them), and the 30-day refund keeps back 4% in gateway fees and $15 per development hour.
WordPress and Dokan
For whom: founders comfortable with WordPress, or who already have a site to convert.
Strengths. Dokan offers a free core, then yearly licences from $149 (one site) to $999 (twenty sites); on the day we checked, discounts brought Professional (three sites, with Stripe Express and Mangopay) down to $199, Business to $374 and Enterprise to $699 for the first year. Lifetime licences exist, from $596 to $3,247 on promotion.
Limits. Hosting is not included. Promotions change fast: check the price on the day you buy. Performance, security and plugin compatibility are down to you.
Bubble, Lovable and general-purpose tools
For whom: projects that look like no known marketplace, or founders who want a prototype very fast.
Strengths. Anything is possible. Bubble lets you build for free and go live from the Starter plan, at $59 a month billed yearly for web and mobile. Lovable is paid in credits, with a free plan to try, and its FAQ says you own your code.
Limits. The marketplace is yours to build: seller accounts, access rules, moderation, back office. Split payments above all: Lovable’s payments documentation describes a single active provider per project, Paddle or Stripe, for one merchant. We detail these limits in no-code marketplace builders and AI.
Enterprise solutions
Origami, Wizaplace or Mirakl target large companies, often B2B, and sell through demos. Origami gives its own orders of magnitude in an article of 7 August 2026 (in French): about €22,500 over twenty-four months for a simple SaaS project, €60,500 to €200,000 in the first year for a standard one. These are tools for corporate projects, not for testing an idea.
Marketplace Factory
For whom: founders and small organisations who want a finished marketplace for their trade, fast, with a low entry price.
What you get. The studio is free: one first idea with no account, then a free account, no card. One sentence gives complete proposals in a few minutes, each with four spaces (public site, buyer account, seller space, back office), in the trade’s flow: request, booking, rental, application or order. You edit with one gesture or by asking the assistant, without a line of code. Online payments are included from the Launch plan, at €79 a month excluding VAT plus 2% of sales paid online: on your own Stripe account, with your commission. Pro, at €199 a month excluding VAT plus 1.5%, adds up to three domain names, emails sent from your domain, connectors and several admins. Reviews, statistics, import and export come with every plan, with no per-transaction meter. Data is hosted in the European Union.
Good to know. During the beta, you try everything without paying a thing: payments run in test mode. The source code is sold separately, for a single marketplace, and plan details are on the pricing page.
Which tool for which project
- You want a complete marketplace for your trade, taking payments from day one, without code: Marketplace Factory. Launch to test your market, Pro for your brand and your own domain.
- You want to test a local idea this month, without taking payments online: Marketplace Factory Launch in request mode; our share only applies to sales paid online.
- You would rather configure generic software yourself: Sharetribe or Kreezalid, or Traide in Canada and the United States, comparing grids, limits and fees at your volume.
- You want to own the code and have a developer: CS-Cart, Yo!Kart, Dokan, or Sharetribe Extend.
- Your product looks like no known marketplace: Bubble, Lovable, or custom development.
- You are a large B2B company with a catalogue and an IT system: the enterprise solutions.
Before signing, run two calculations. First, the twelve-month cost at your expected volume, payment fees included; we did it for three scenarios in the cost to build a marketplace. Second, the cost of leaving: what you can export, and who owns the domain and the payment account. To place this choice in the whole project, see our guide on how to build a marketplace.
With Marketplace Factory, you no longer pick software to configure: you pick among finished marketplaces for your trade, created in a few minutes, and put the one that fits you online.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best Sharetribe alternative?
It depends on who builds. For a complete marketplace for your trade, without a line of code, taking payments from the entry plan: Marketplace Factory, which creates finished proposals from one sentence. To configure generic software yourself: Sharetribe or Kreezalid. To own the code with a developer: CS-Cart, Yo!Kart, Dokan or Sharetribe Extend. For a product that looks like no known marketplace: Bubble, Lovable or custom development.
What is the cheapest marketplace software?
At entry level, general tools (Bubble at $59 a month billed yearly, Lovable free to try) show the lowest prices, but the marketplace is yours to build. Among ready-made tools checked on 27 September 2026, Marketplace Factory is online from €79 a month excluding VAT plus 2% of sales paid online, online payments included, Kreezalid from €99, Sharetribe from $99 a month billed yearly. Compare at your own volume, subscription and fees included, and look at what each price includes.
Which marketplace platforms take a cut of sales?
As of 27 September 2026: Marketplace Factory takes 2% on Launch, 1.5% on Pro and 1% on Dedicated of sales paid online, and Traide 0.5% to 1% of sales depending on the plan. Sharetribe takes no percentage but charges at most $0.19 per transaction above a monthly quota. Kreezalid takes nothing. In every case the payment provider, Stripe for example, charges its own fees.
Can I switch marketplace software later?
Yes, if you planned the exit. Check that you can export users, listings and transactions (Sharetribe offers CSV exports; Marketplace Factory an export on every plan, with data retrievable for thirty days after cancellation), that the domain name is yours, and that the platform’s Stripe account is opened in your name.
